A Purpose-Driven Path to Surgery

Dr. Eltejaye grew up in California’s Central Valley and earned his undergraduate degree in biology from California State University, with a minor in chemistry. He went on to earn his dental degree from Western University’s College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, CA, followed by a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Loma Linda. After completing a one-year oral surgery internship at Christiana Care in Delaware, he returned to California to launch a community health dental clinic in El Dorado County, expanding access to care in rural and underserved communities through in-person and tele-dentistry services.

During this time, he also earned a Master of Public Health from San Jose State University—further reinforcing his belief in patient-centered care that blends clinical excellence with broader health awareness.

Advanced Surgical Training

Following several years in general dentistry, Dr. Eltejaye returned to Christiana Care to complete a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His training covered the full scope of the specialty, including:

• Wisdom teeth removal and surgical extractions
• Dental implant placement and bone grafting
• Facial trauma surgery and reconstruction
• Head and neck pathology
• In-office IV sedation and general anesthesia

He takes particular pride in his use of up-to-date technology and digital workflows to minimize patient discomfort and treat with accuracy and efficiency.
