A Local Surgeon with Deep Roots

Born and raised in Delaware, Dr. D’Amico graduated from Wilmington Friends School before earning his undergraduate degree in biology from Dickinson College, where he also played varsity football. His passion for oral surgery took root early. Growing up in the field and working at his father’s practice during high school gave him an inside look at the impact this specialty can have on people’s lives.

After completing his dental degree at the University of Maryland in 2013, Dr. D’Amico returned to Delaware for his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Christiana Care. Over the years, he’s developed a true appreciation for the unique blend of medicine and dentistry that defines the specialty—especially the way it allows surgeons to treat both urgent conditions and long-term health goals.

Dr. D’Amico finds genuine fulfillment in helping patients feel better. Being able to care for patients in the community where he grew up, alongside his father and trusted colleagues, is one of his greatest professional joys.
